(A) The alternate for the Building Inspector may be any of the following:
(1) Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction, located in Frankfort, Kentucky;
(2) Kenton County Building Inspector/Zoning Administrator; or
(3) Northern Kentucky Planning and Zoning Commission.
(B) The alternate for the Zoning Administrator may be any of the following:
(1) Kenton County Building Inspector/Zoning Administrator;
(2) Northern Kentucky Planning and Zoning Commission.
(C) An alternate shall be appointed by the Building Inspector-Zoning Administrator to serve in every case in which a conflict of interest exists between the individual or business entity and the Building Inspector-Zoning Administrator; and the alternate shall be notified of its appointment as Building Inspector or Zoning Administrator in the regular course of business, but said notification shall be in writing.
(D) In the event the person or business entity or any affected citizen disagrees with the alternate chosen by the Building Inspector-Zoning Administrator for either or both alternate positions, they shall have the right to appeal the decision in writing to the Mayor. In that event the Mayor's confirmation or choice of an alternate shall be final.
