Any owner, operator or person employed in any massage establishment and performing massages therein, as either a masseuse or masseur, shall be required to provide, at the time of application, proof that he or she has received professional training and completed the national certification process and has been certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, the American Massage Therapy Association, or any equivalent nationally recognized accreditation body, or has received a license from any state that regulates massage therapy, to administer same.
