§ 90.33 KEEPING AND MAINTAINING ANIMALS; VICIOUS ANIMALS, LARGE WILD ANIMALS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   Manner of keeping animals. No person shall keep or maintain any animal in the city in such a manner as to become a public nuisance or to disturb the peace, comfort, or health of any person residing in the city. The keeping of all animals within the city shall be subject to all pertinent regulations of the State Health Department.
   (B)   The keeping of vicious animals and/or large wild animals is prohibited. No person shall keep any vicious animal and/or large wild animal, whether owned by him, or not, on his property within the city.
   (C)   Keeping of reptiles and wild animals. No person shall keep or maintain any poisonous reptile or wild animals.
   (D)   The foregoing divisions are a necessary control on the unrestrained activities of vicious animals and/or large wild animals which threaten the safety and pleasantness of streets, parks, sidewalks, yards and all areas of the city. Lack of knowledge or lack of intent is not a defense to a violation thereof.
