§ 35.12 OATH AND BOND.
   (A)   No person shall be appointed or act as the Police Chief or a police officer of the city unless such person has taken the oath required by Section 228 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
   (B)   The Chief of Police and each other member of the Police Department shall execute a bond with surety approved by Council to the state in a penal amount of $2,500. ('77 Code, § 10-18)
