§ 22-170 MOTORBUS STOPS AND MANNER OF STOPPING.
   All stops by motorbuses within the city for the purpose of taking on or discharging passengers shall be made at street intersections on the right side of the street along which the bus is traveling and on the near side of the intersecting street, except at such other locations as may be designated by the city traffic engineer. Such stops not located at the near side of street intersections as may be designated by the city traffic engineer shall be marked as bus stops by the individual or organization in charge of operation of such motorbuses. Before making any stop for the purpose of taking on or discharging passengers, motorbuses shall pull in as near the street curb upon the right-hand side of the motorbus making such stop as possible, and shall stop as near such right-hand curb as possible; and, when a motorbus is making such a stop, such motorbus shall stop in such a place as to interfere with the vehicular traffic on the street on which such motorbus is traveling as little as possible, but no part of any motorbus shall be stopped so as to obstruct traffic on any intersecting street except when such stops shall be necessary for the purpose of protecting life or property.
