   No person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle within the city, shall allow or suffer such motor vehicle to be left unattended unless and until the ignition key to such motor vehicle shall be first removed therefrom and the ignition thereof shall be fixed in a locked position; provided, however, that this section shall not be applicable to trucks, buses or commercial motor vehicles.
