§ 20-218 LIGHTS ON LOCOMOTIVES.
   All locomotive engines run or operated, or caused to be run or operated, on or across any public street or highway within the city, between sundown and sunup, by any person shall be equipped with a headlight so that the same shall throw the light forward in the direction the engine may be moving, and the headlight shall be kept burning from sundown to sunup.

§ 20-219 COMPANIES TO FILE MAP WITH CITY.
   All railway companies operating their roads in the city shall place on file in the office of the city secretary a map or plan, on a scale of not less than 600 feet to the inch, of all existing lines of railway, whether double or single, operated by them, having correctly delineated thereon all tracks, switches, curves, bridges, trestle-work, turnouts and turning tables.

§ 20-220 CHANGES IN TRACKS, SWITCHES, ETC.
   No changes shall be made in the tracks, switches, curves, culverts, bridges, trestle-works, turnouts and turning tables, as set down on the maps and plans under the preceding section, without the consent of the director of the department of public works, whose duty it shall be to note the same upon such maps and plans.

§ 20-221 GRADES OF NEW LINES.
   In the construction of any new line of railway, grades shall be first given by the director of public works, the cost of which shall be paid by the company, and the work staked off to the required height of the tracks to be built, but this shall not be considered as the established grade proper, and shall be only for the purpose of making the grades uniform, it being considered impracticable to conform to every undulation of the streets as they now are in all portions of the city.
