§ 71.26 STATE SPEED LIMITS INCREASED IN CERTAIN ZONE.
   It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the speed permitted by state law upon those streets or portions thereof described in Schedule 2, maintained on file in the office of the Traffic Engineer, is less than is necessary for safe operation of vehicle thereon by reason of the designation and sign-posting of such streets as through highways, or by reason of widely spaced intersections, and it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit upon those streets or portions thereof described in Schedule 2, maintained on file in the office of the Traffic Engineer, shall be as therein stated, which speeds so declared shall be effective at the time specified therein when signs are erected giving notice thereof.
