(A) Sidewalks shall be provided along each side of every street shown on the plat and shall be dedicated to public use. Construction shall be completed within one year of occupancy of the dwelling unit. Sidewalks shall be constructed according to the city’s Standard Specifications for Construction, as amended. Sidewalks along residential streets shall be a minimum of four feet wide. Sidewalks along nonresidential streets shall be a minimum of six feet wide.
(B) The Planning and Zoning Commission may require, in order to facilitate pedestrian access from the roads to schools, parks, playgrounds or other nearby roads, perpetual unobstructed easements at least 20 feet in width. Easements shall be indicated on the plat.
