§ 156.06 BUILDING PERMIT REQUIRED FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION OR CONVERSIONS.
   (A)   A building permit is required for every new construction for use as a vacation home or renovation of an existing residential structure for purposes of converting its use to a vacation home or accessory structure. The building permit shall be obtained from the Building Official. Separate permits are required for gas, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work and grading, drainage and erosion control within and around the vacation home. All work shall comply with the currently adopted zoning, building, gas, plumbing, electrical and mechanical codes. The fees for permit applications shall be the building code fee schedule adopted by the city in effect at the time of the application.
   (B)   Any building permit exemptions allowed by the current building and zoning codes, or any other code adopted by the city, shall not be deemed to grant authorization for any work to be done in any manner in violation of the provisions of this chapter.
