§ 30.02 MAYOR; QUALIFICATIONS AND SUCCESSION.
   (A)   Purpose. The purpose of this section is to establish the chief executive officer of the city, his or her qualifications and matters relating to succession in such office.

   (B)   Chief executive officer. The chief executive officer of the city shall be the Mayor.

   (C)   Qualifications and successions in Office of Mayor.
      (1)   The Mayor of the city shall be a citizen of the United States and must be a registered voter residing in the city.
      (2)   The term of office for the Mayor shall be two years.
      (3)   If the Mayor is disabled or for any reason is unable to act in that capacity, the powers and duties of the Office of Mayor shall be assumed by the President of the City Council. If the disability or inability to act is of a permanent nature, an election shall be held for the unexpired term at the next annual municipal election.
      (4)   If the President of the City Council is disabled or for any reason is unable to act in that capacity, the powers and duties of the Office of President shall be assumed by the Vice-President of the City Council.
