§ 94.02 DISCHARGE OF FIREWORKS.
   (A)   (1)   Fireworks as described in SDCL § 34-37-5, except prohibited fireworks listed in § 94.03, may be discharged within the city limits between the hours of 9:00 a.m., Central Time, and 10:30 p.m., Central Time, from June 29 through July 2 and on July 5.
      (2)   Fireworks as described in SDCL § 34-37-5, except fireworks commonly known as bottle rockets, may be discharged within the city limits between the hours of 9:00 a.m., Central Time, and 12:00 a.m. (midnight), Central Time, on July 3 and July 4.
   (B)   (1)   Fireworks as listed in division (B)(3) below may be discharged within the city limits between the hours of 5:00 p.m., Central Time, and 8:00 p.m., Central Time, on December 29 and December 30.
      (2)   Fireworks as listed in division (B)(3) below may be discharged within the city limits between the hours of 5:00 p.m., Central Time, and 12:00 a.m. (midnight), Central Time, on December 31 and between the hours of 12:00 a.m. (midnight), Central Time, and 1:00 a.m., Central Time, on January 1.
      (3)   Fireworks permitted to be discharged during the hours listed in divisions (B)(1) and (B)(2) above on December 29 through January 1 are limited to the following: fountains, cakes and artillery shells.
   (C)   City Council may grant a permit for special event displays as described in SDCL § 34-37-13.
