§ 35.87 MEMBERSHIP; VACANCIES.
   (A)   Members of the Tree Commission shall serve a three-year term except as provided herein for the initial Tree Commission. The Tree Commission shall consist of not less than seven nor more than 15 members as from time to time appointed by the Mayor. The initial Tree Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor so that as nearly as possible one-third of the members shall be appointed for a term of one year, one-third of the members shall be appointed for a term of two years and one-third of the members shall be appointed for a term of three years. Members of the Tree Commission shall serve without compensation.
   (B)   Any vacancy arising by reason of death, resignation or removal of any member of the Tree Commission shall be filled in the manner provided under § 35.87 for the unexpired term of the member. Members of the Tree Commission serve at the Mayor's pleasure, and he may remove a member for any reason including, but not limited to, inefficiency, neglect of duty, malfeasance or conflict of interest.
