Pursuant to KRS 83.087, the office of citation officer is hereby created. All city citation officers shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall be empowered to issue civil citations for violations of the code of ordinances which are classified as civil offenses and which are subject to the jurisdiction of the Code Enforcement Board. Individuals appointed as citations officers must take the Constitutional oath of office and may be removed with or without cause by the Mayor.
