Any building located in the city which is protected by an automatic sprinkler system or standpipe system and which the fire department connection to such system is exposed to the public, shall have installed thereon a fire department connection security cap. The fire department connection security cap shall be of a type approved by the Fire Chief of the city or his or her designee.
