(A) The city does hereby determine on the basis of engineering and traffic investigations conducted by the city that the speed for the operation of vehicles within the city permitted under KRS 189.390 (2) is greater than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to exist on the street identified and/or referenced herein. Therefore, the City Council determines, authorizes and imposes the maximum speed limits as described in this chapter.
(B) No person shall operate a vehicle on any street or other public way in the city, not specifically provided for below, at a greater speed than 25 miles per hour.
(C) Whoever violates the speed limit set forth herein shall be subject to the same fine as set forth in the fine schedule of KRS 189.394.
