The remaining applicants on the eligibility list will be eligible for appointment as additional vacancies occur within the Police and Fire Departments. The eligibility list will remain in effect for a period of time not to exceed two years, from the date of certification, as determined by the City Administrative Officer. The city reserves the right to subsequently remove an applicant from an active eligibility list for appropriate cause, including but not limited to, conviction of a crime, actions involving domestic violence, driving record impairment, falsification of information provided during the application process and other related activities that would deem an applicant not suitable for employment within the Police or Fire Department.
