(A) The City Council hereby approves and adopts the most current editions of the National Fire Protection Association Uniform Fire Code (NFPA 1) and the National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) as published by the National Fire Protection Association, which are hereby adopted by reference as if specifically set out at length in words and figures herein, including all subsequent revisions and amendments thereto. All of the provisions of NFPA 1 and 101 shall be applicable to and control all ordinances now and hereafter adopted by the city, except those provisions that are modified or amended in this chapter or which may hereafter be amended.
(B) NFPA 1 and 101, as adopted in division (A) above, are made a part of this chapter the same as if specifically rewritten herein, and are also made a part of the public records of the city. Three copies of NFPA 1 and 101 are now on file in the office of the City Clerk, and from and after this date at least three copies of such Code shall be on file in that office and open for inspection and use by the public.
