The Rapid Entry System shall have a single lock. If the building is protected by a security alarm system, an alarm tamper switch should be installed and connected so that if the box is opened, or removed from the building, an alarm will sound. If the building is not protected by a security alarm system, the box may be connected to the fire alarm, provided the connection is on the fire side signaling an alarm.
