§ 37.01 IMPOSITION OF TAXES.
   (A)   Each year shall be imposed, levied and ordered to be collected as taxes of the city sums as set by ordinance on the real property, personal property and mixed property and on motor vehicles, subject to taxation within the corporate limits of said city, as assessed, corrected, and returned according to law for said year, and a sum set by ordinance on franchise valuations as assessed and returned according to law for said year, to be used for defraying the current and incidental expenses of the city government.
   (B)   Each year there shall be imposed, levied, and ordered to be collected by the city, for general city purposes, a sum based on fair cash value as set by ordinance on shares of stock of state banks and trust companies incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and situated in the city. Said taxes when collected shall be paid into the General Fund of the city.
