§ 36.042 MEMBERS; TERM.
   (A)   The Planning Commission shall consist of seven resident members. Resident members shall hold no other elected or appointed city office. All members of the Planning Commission shall serve without compensation. However, the Planning Commission may incur reasonable expenses at its meeting that may be necessary to accomplish the purposes herein, subject to the approval of the City Council.
   (B)    The term of office for resident members shall be four years, except those members first appointed shall hold office according to the designation in their appointments which shall be one member for a one-year term, one member for a two-year term, one member for a three-year term, and one member for a four-year term. All later appointments or reappointments shall continue the staggered pattern per KRS 100.143.
   (C)   Organization. The Board shall organize, within 30 days after the appointment of its initial total membership. The Board shall annually elect a chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary, who shall be eligible for re-election at the Board’s first meeting annually per KRS 100.161.
