Section 4.5. Compensation of mayor and councilmen; reimbursement of expenses.
   Each councilman and the mayor shall receive as compensation the sum of thirty dollars ($30.00) for each regular or special meeting attended but no to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year. The mayor shall receive the additional sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) per year. All compensation to be paid annually. The council may reimburse the mayor or any councilmember for any authorized necessary expense incurred in service of the city, provided an itemized statement therefor is submitted to the council and payment therefor is authorized.
