(A) The town is authorized to establish local limits pursuant to 40 C.F.R. 403.5(c).
(B) (1) The following pollutant limits are established to protect against pass through and interference. No person shall discharge wastewater containing concentrations in excess of the following daily maximum limit.
(a) 10.0 mg/l ammonia
(b) 0.10 mg/l arsenic
(c) 250 mg/l BOD

(d) 0.20 mg/l cadmium
(e) 0.25 mg/l hexavalent chromium (CR,+6) for one day or 0.09 mg/l hexavalent chromium for any 30 consecutive day average
(f) 5.0 mg/l total chromium
(g) 0.10 mg/l copper
(h) 0.10 mg/l cyanide
(i) 0.10 mg/l lead
(j) 0.10 mg/l mercury
(k) (text missing) mg/l nitrogen (total)
(l) 0.80 mg/l nickel
(m) 200 mg/ l oil and/or grease (animal or vegetable origin)
(n) 100 mg/l oil and/or grease (mineral or petroleum origin)
(o) 0.10 mg/l silver
(p) 0.50 mg/l total phenols
(q) 250 mg/l total suspended solids
(r) 0.50 mg/l zinc
(s) Any other water or wastes containing a toxic or poisonous substance in sufficient quantity to injure or interfere with any sewage treatment process or to constitute a hazard to humans or animals or to create any hazard in the receiving waters of the town sewerage system treatment plant.
(2) The above limits apply at the point where the wastewater is discharged to the town sewerage system. In the event any state or federal regulations provide for different maximums than set forth herein, said maximums shall apply. All concentrations for metallic substances are for total metal unless indicated otherwise. The superintendent may impose mass limitations in addition to the concentration-based limitations above. Any violation of the limits set forth herein shall be subject to enforcement action as set forth in this chapter.
(C) The town reserves the right to establish, by ordinance or in individual wastewater discharge permits, more stringent standards or admissibility requirements on discharges to the town sewerage system consistent with the purpose of this chapter.
