§ 35.07 ENTERTAINMENT AND PROMOTION FUND.
   (A)   (1)   An Entertainment and Promotion Fund is established to receive and expend funds for food, lodging, recognition of leaders and benefactors and entertainment incurred in the promotion of the town and its citizens, the recruitment of development contacts, attendance at seminars and conferences or meetings with state, federal and local administrative officers.
      (2)   The Town Council is hereby authorized to budget and appropriate funds from the general fund or from other funds to pay the expenses incurred in promoting the betterment of the town.
   (B)   Expenditures from this fund may include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
      (1)   Membership dues in local, regional, state and national associations of a civic, educational or governmental nature, which have as their purpose the betterment of municipal operations;
      (2)   Direct expenses for travel, meals and lodging in conjunction with municipal business or meetings or organizations to which the municipality belongs;
      (3)   Expenses incurred in the promotion of economic or industrial development for the municipality, including meetings, room rental, decorations, meals and travel;
      (4)   Expenses incurred in the recognition of leaders and benefactors of the town and community; and
      (5)   Expenses incurred in recognizing and rewarding town employees through plaques, Christmas parties, recognition meals and the like.
