(A) There is created the Town of Fremont Economic Development Commission to carry out the provisions of this subchapter in accordance with I.C. 36-7-12-1 et seq.

(B) (1) The Town of Fremont, Indiana, is desirous of increasing the employment opportunities and diversification of industry to improve the prosperity, economic stability and general welfare of the community.
(2) A Commission is needed to investigate, study and survey job opportunities, industrial diversification, economic stability development and welfare of the Town of Fremont, and carry out the duties and powers as set forth in the Municipal Economic Development Act, I.C. 36-7-12-1 et seq.
(3) Any indebtedness would be in the form of revenue bonds which would be the obligation solely and only from the revenue derived from industrial facilities which would not affect the borrowing powers of the Town of Fremont.

(C) The members of the Economic Development Commission shall be appointed and shall perform the duties and exercise the powers all as set forth in the Municipal Economic Development Act., I.C. 36-7-12-1 et seq.
