§ 111.04 GARAGE SALES, PORCH SALES AND THE LIKE.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person, residence, firm or corporation to hold or conduct a garage sale, yard sale, porch sale or similar events within the Town of Fremont, unless a permit therefore shall first have been obtained from the Clerk-Treasurer of Fremont.
   (B)   The Clerk-Treasurer shall issue a permit upon payment of $2; provided, however, no charge shall be made if the applicant is a charitable, religious, educational organization or merchant sidewalk sale.
   (C)   Any permit so issued shall be valid for the time specified in the permit but in no event for more than 3 successive days.
   (D)   No permit shall be issued to any person, residence, firm or corporation who shall have been issued 2 permits within the preceding 12 months.
   (E)   Any person, residence, firm or corporation who shall hold or conduct any sale or event without having first obtained a permit shall upon conviction be fined in any amount no exceeding $300.
   (F)   Garage sale, porch sale or yard sale includes all general sales, open to the public, advertised or unadvertised, conducted from or on property within the Town of Fremont, as defined by the zoning ordinance, for the purpose of disposing of property including, but not limited to, all sales entitled “garage,” “lawn,” “yard,” “attic,” “porch,” “room,” “backyard,” “patio,” “flea market” or “rummage” sale.
