§ 90.03 RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF PUBLIC PARKS.
   (A)   Fremont public parks shall be open to the public from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. each day. Playground areas, including the skate park, may be used from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
   (B)   Motorized vehicles shall be parked in designated parking areas only, with the exception of designated parking areas, all motorized vehicles are prohibited on park grounds.
   (C)   Pets are not allowed in public parks unless the pet is on a leash and/or under the control of the handler. The handler must comply with all town ordinances pertaining to animals, including noise, running at large, impounding of and sanitation procedures. (See Chapter 92: Animals of the Fremont Code of Ordinances.)
   (D)   Open fires, except in fireplaces, charcoal pits and grills, shall not be permitted in any public park and shall not be allowed inside or under any pavilion or roofed structure.
   (E)   Swimming and wading is prohibited in any body of water located on public park property.
   (F)   Camping is not allowed in any public park without the prior approval of the Fremont Town Council.
   (G)   Alcohol and controlled drugs, unless prescribed by a physician, are prohibited on public park property.
   (H)   Park facilities, pavilions, fields and the like, may be reserved at the Fremont Town Hall, 205 N. Tolford Street, on a first come first serve basis, beginning on the first working day after January 1 of each year, or at any time thereafter so long as the facility requested is available. There are fees involved for reserving the park pavilion, costs are subject to change and information on costs and deposits can be obtained at the Clerk-Treasurer’s office, Town Hall, 260-495-7805.
   (I)   All law enforcement officers and any town employees are authorized to enforce public park rules and regulations. Failure to follow rules and regulations will result in the expulsion from park property and/or fines and arrest it applicable town ordinances are violated or individuals resist expulsion.
   (J)   The Town Council may issue exceptions to any of the above rules for special events sponsored by the town or for other special events approved by the Council prior to the event.
