(a) Initial Zoning for Annexed Areas.
(1) Whenever lands are incorporated into the City through annexation, the zoning regulations then in effect in these annexed areas shall remain in full force and shall be enforced by the respective county or township officials, until the City officially determines and adopts new zoning for such territory.
(2) If the lands are unzoned, they shall remain unzoned until the official Zoning District Map is amended according to the provisions of this Chapter.
(b) Effect on Township Permits. Upon any annexation, any permits that have been issued by the township zoning officials, wherein structural construction has not yet commenced, shall be null and void.
(c) Final Zoning for Annexed Areas. The Planning Commission shall make recommendations to Council concerning the zoning of annexed lands within ninety (90) days after the annexation becomes effective. City Council shall review the recommendations of the Planning Commission in accordance with the provisions set forth in this Chapter.
