The Parks and Recreation Director shall post the following rules in all City parks and furnish all interested persons desiring to avail themselves of the City park facilities with a printed copy of the rules and regulations governing the use by the public of City Parks.
The rules and regulations governing and regulating the use of City parks are hereby prescribed and enacted as follows and shall be strictly adhered to in all respects, unless written permit to deviate from such rules and regulations is first obtained from the Parks and Recreation Director.
(a) Permits for the use of shelter houses in City parks shall be obtained at least three days in advance of the event at the City Parks and Recreation Department office during the period of January 1 to October 1 of the year of the event. Charges and/or deposits for the use of the shelter houses shall be set by the Parks and Recreation Director.
(b) Persons using shelter houses shall clean up the same and place paper and refuse in containers before leaving the premises.
(c) Persons using the shelter houses shall not damage the same or commit waste and shall be held responsible for any damage resulting thereto or to any other building or equipment. (Ord. 01-3200. Passed 5-17-01.)
(d) Consumption or possession of all alcoholic beverages on the City park premises is prohibited unless prior approval is received from the Safety-Service Director.

(e) No commercial activities, including but not limited to activities such as advertising, the selling of any tickets, food, drinks, or the staging of any concerts or other organized projects in which any fee is charged to participants or observers is expressly prohibited unless prior approval is received from the Parks and Recreation Director.
(f) No rough initiation of any kind shall be permitted.
(g) No prizes or inducements of any kind shall be offered to children in the parks and play areas without prior approval of the Parks and Recreation Director.
(h) Unauthorized groups of individuals shall not go into City parks and play areas and indiscriminately interrupt the scheduled recreational activities.
(i) All City parks and play areas shall close at dusk unless the programs or activities are being conducted with the approval of the Parks and Recreation Director. This extension shall not exceed 1:00 a.m.
(j) No dog, cat or other animal shall be permitted on any sports field.
(k) No dog, cat or other animal shall be permitted within 75 feet of any sports field while any activity is in progress.
(l) No person, being the owner or having charge of any animal in any public parks or playgrounds, shall fail to have in his/her possession a wood, plastic or metal device or other container for the purpose of pickup up and properly disposing of any fecal matter left by his/her animal. Failure of any such person to have in his/her possession such suitable device or container is prima-facie evidence of a violation of this section. (Ord. 01-3200. Passed 5-17-01.)
