(a) Fremont Water Works Park is hereby memorialized by dedicating it as Rodger W. Young Memorial Park to the service of all men and women of Sandusky County who were part of the armed forces and especially to the memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice in the Second World War.
(b) The park bounded by Birchard and Buckland Avenues and Monroe Street, a place of beauty and tranquility, shall hereafter be known as "Richard D. Maier Memorial Park" in order to commemorate the service to this community by the late Mayor Richard D. Maier. The Safety-Service Director is authorized and directed to provide for a suitable marker in such park to remind persons visiting there of the service of Mayor Richard D. Maier and the park shall be so designated on future maps published or authorized by the City.
