(a) In this section the following words or terms shall have the following meaning:
“Event” - an event of public entertainment or amusement.
“Event sponsor” - an owner, lessee, operator, promoter or manager of an event or the site of an event.
“Resell” - to sell a ticket after it has been purchased from the event sponsor or from an individual, corporation or association authorized to sell the ticket by the event sponsor.
(b) No person may resell or offer to resell a ticket to an event for a price in excess of the price authorized to be offered to the general public by the event sponsor if he or she stands on or in any manner occupies (1) the premises or property owned, leased or managed by the event sponsor where the event is to occur; or (2) in the public streets, sidewalks or right of ways.
(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
