For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BULKHEAD. A structure built along the bank of real property abutting a waterway for the purpose of resisting pressure, preventing erosion or acting as a restraining wall.
   GARBAGE or REFUSE.  Waste products, trash, or rubbish, including, by way of illustration and not limitation, the discharge from such vessel of any waste materials, oil, or other matter which tends to pollute the waterways within the city.
   MARINE SERVICE STATION.  A facility at which marine fuels and other marine related products are sold at retail to the general public.
   MEMBER OF A CREW.  Any person having duties to perform aboard a vessel other than as a passenger thereupon.
   NAVIGABLE ARTIFICIAL WATERWAY.  Any waterway that has an average width of thirty feet from the mouth up, other than a natural waterway, without regard to the length of such waterway.
   SUBDIVISION.  A tract or parcel of land which has been divided into two or more lots or parts for the purpose, whether immediate or in the future, of building development.
   VESSEL.  Any boat, ship, barge, or craft which floats upon water whether self-propelled or not.
