The City, through the Fire Department, shall charge every outlying fire jurisdiction, district or department who request Advanced Life Support (ALS) upgrades (i.e. assistance with paramedic responses/services from the Fire Department) in accordance with the rate set forth herein. The Fire Chief, or his or her designee, shall compute the charges thus due for each ALS upgrade requested. The Finance Director, or his or her designee, shall bill such charges to the requesting outlying fire jurisdiction, district or department. The Finance Director, or his or her designee, shall provide upon request to the City Manager, a report detailing the individual status of accounts receivable. The City Treasurer shall deposit money earned from the imposition of these charges into the Fire Department Capital Fund and such funds shall be expended in accordance with Section 242.53 hereunder.
(a) ALS Upgrade: $450.00 per incident.
