The landscaping requirements specified herein are intended to foster aesthetically pleasing, environmentally beneficial, and sustainable development that will protect and preserve the appearance, character, general health, safety and welfare of the community. Landscape improvements shall serve to enhance the appearance of the site, especially as viewed from adjacent property and public right-of-way. Effective year-round screening shall be provided to lessen the visual prominence of parking lots, service yards, loading docks, exterior utility structures, dumpster pads, and detention and retention ponds.
