For the purpose of prescribing regulations governing the repair or alteration of existing buildings, that certain document marked and designated as the International Existing Building Code, (2012), as promulgated by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted as the Existing Building Code of the City, with the exception of Chapter 8, Section 804 entitled “Fire Protection,” subsection 804.2.2, and any other such portions thereof as may be amended or repealed in this chapter.
