No person or business entity shall engage in work within the City as a commercial contractor unless such person or business entity first has obtained a commercial contractor's license.
(a) If the person or business entity is a general contractor constructing new residential dwellings, then only the general contractor will be required to obtain a commercial contractor's license for the purpose of constructing new residential dwellings. The general contractor for new residential buildings will be responsible for all sub-contractors working for him and will ensure that they meet all commercial contractor's licensing standards.
