Any permit required by this Building and Housing Code may be issued to any person to do any work regulated by this Building and Housing Code in any single-family dwelling used exclusively for living purposes, including the usual accessory buildings and quarters in connection with such dwelling, provided that the person is the bona fide owner of such dwelling, that the same will be occupied by said owner and that said owner, or a member of said owner's immediate family, will personally purchase all materials and perform all labor in connection therewith. The term "immediate family", as used in this section, shall mean the spouse, children, grandchildren, mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, grandmother, grandfather, sister, brother, mother-in-law and father-in-law of the applicant.
