(a) In General. Fire Prevention Bureau plan review fees and building permit fees for general construction, electrical, mechanical and plumbing shall be paid at the time of issuance of a building permit. The permit shall not be issued unless the total fee is paid at the time of issuance.
(b) Building Permit Fees. The building permit rate fee for residential, commercial or manufacturing new construction or remodeling shall be ten dollars ($10.00) per one thousand dollars ($1,000) of the construction cost incurred by the applicant. No additional permit fee shall be charged for plumbing, electrical, mechanical, boiler, deck or fence permits when a building permit is issued. (Ord. 92-21. Passed 7-6-92; Ord. 2004-32. (c) Demolition Permit Fees. The demolition permit fee shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and no fee shall be charged for residential garage demolition.
(d) Deck and Fence Permit Fees. The permit fee for construction of a deck or fence shall be thirty dollars ($30.00).
(e) Plan Approval Fees. No permit for any building or structure, other than for any single-family or two-family residence, shall be issued until the plans and specifications therefor have been submitted to and approved by the Building Commissioner and the Bureau of Fire Prevention of the Fire Department of the City. Plan review fees shall be charged according to the following schedule of fees: Six cents ($0.06) per square footage of construction, with a minimum fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00).
(f) Disposition of Fees. The Finance Director shall deposit money earned from the imposition of the fees provided for in this section as follows:
(1) Plan review fees: One hundred percent into the Corporate fund.
(2) Building permit fees: One hundred percent into the Corporate fund.
