For the purpose of prescribing regulations governing the installation, construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, that certain document marked and designated as the National Electrical Code, 2017 edition, as promulgated by the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the City, save and except for such portions thereof as may be amended or repealed in this chapter.
