Each plumbing contractor shall provide a copy of his or her State Plumber’s License and State Plumbing Contractor’s License upon application for any permit subject to this section. At least one member of every firm, association or partnership engaged in plumbing work, and at least one corporate officer of every corporation engaged in plumbing work, shall be a plumber. Every such firm, association, partnership or corporation shall keep on display in its place of business the license of at least one of its members, partners or officers. The Building Commissioner shall post, in a conspicuous location in City Hall, the current license rate. The license applicant shall be responsible for obtaining liability insurance with minimum general liability limits of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000) per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage. The license applicant shall provide the Building Commissioner with evidence of obtaining such insurance prior to registration. This insurance requirement is a continuing requirement for registration. Failure to maintain insurance shall result in cancellation of the registration by the Building Commissioner.
