For the purpose of prescribing regulations governing the installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, lines and equipment, that certain document known as the Illinois Plumbing Code 2014, promulgated by the Department of Public Health, State of Illinois, pursuant to authority granted by the Illinois Plumbing License Law (225 ILCS 320/0.01 et seq., as amended), is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City, save and except for such portions thereof as may be amended or repealed in this chapter.
