In the event that Council votes to accept a bid or bids for the work, the Public Works Director shall immediately notify the successful bidder or bidders and a proper contract or contacts shall be entered into between the City and the successful bidder or bidders. The successful bidder or bidders shall be required to post with the City a performance bond or bonds in not less than one and one-half times the amount of the total bid or bids. The Public Works Director or such other engineer or engineers as the City may retain for the project shall supervise the construction after the construction contract or contracts are entered into.
