1024.08 BITUMINOUS ASPHALT SURFACES (HOT MIX BLACKTOP).

Where the surface is blacktop, the excavation shall be backfilled with sand or other granular material to a point ten inches below the surface. The remainder of the excavation shall be filled with eight inches of Class "X" concrete and two inches of a permanent hot mix bituminous surface mixture, applied and rolled to State Highway Standard Specifications as promulgated by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
