1022.06 NUMBERING OF BUILDINGS.
   (a)   Assignment of Numbers. Blocks numbered zero shall contain building numbers one to 100, and buildings in other blocks shall have numbers in the 100 series corresponding to such blocks.
   (b)   Assignment of Odd and Even Numbers. Even numbers shall be assigned to buildings on the northerly and westerly sides of streets and avenues, and odd numbers shall be assigned to buildings on the southerly and easterly sides of streets and avenues.
   (c)   Assignment of Numbers Based Upon Block Footage. A building number shall be assigned, by the Public Works Director, for each twenty feet of frontage contained in a block, insofar as possible.
   (d)   Display of Numbers. The owner and occupant of each building shall attach and display the designated number.
   (e)   Size and Placement Specifications. Each of the figures of a number placed upon any building shall be not less than three inches in length and so made as to be distinctly and easily read from the street. Numbers shall be placed in a conspicuous place on the side or above the front door of the building.
