The term "carnival," as used in this chapter, means amusement activities, rides, merry-go-rounds, booths for the conduct of games of skill, food dispensing facilities, side shows, games of chance and any other game or device operated for gain by so-called carnival companies or carnival road companies and all side and tent shows operated by such companies in connection or conjunction therewith.
