288.17 PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS.
   No person shall enter the full-time and permanent employment of the City without submitting, before entering such employment, to a thorough physical examination by a duly licensed physician designated by the City. Such examination shall be sufficient to disclose the existence of any disease, disability, physical handicap or sensory handicap which would interfere with the ability of the employee to perform the job. The report and results of such examination shall be preserved in the employee's file. Such report shall be submitted to the City Manager when first received, and he or she may, in his or her sole discretion, refuse such employment on the basis of such report.
