It is unlawful for anyone other than an authorized employee of the town to remove, alter, bypass or otherwise tamper or interfere with an electrical meter or electrical distribution equipment of the town. In the event of tampering, the person who may have benefitted or perceived a possible benefit there from, shall be presumed to be responsible until and unless shown otherwise.
