(A) Responsibilities of the Library Advisory Board.
(1) The Library Advisory Board shall serve in an advisory capacity.
(2) The Library Advisory Board members shall voluntarily accept their appointment to the Library Advisory Board.
(3) The Board members shall educate themselves about the general trends of library development.
(4) Library Advisory Board members shall promote the library program in the community.
(5) Each Board member is expected to assist with library projects throughout the year.
(B) Responsibilities of the Town Librarian.
(1) Work with the Library Advisory Board to determine internal library policies and the implementation of them;
(2) Help the Library Advisory Board to formulate and administer the library budget;
(3) Promote good public relations for the library, including working with various community service organizations;
(4) Plan for future development of the library;
(5) Promote and implement methods for cooperation between libraries in the community and the state; and
(6) Work with county and state librarians to develop the library service on the local level.
