(a) No person under eighteen years of age shall be present in or on any public street, park, square, or other public place in the Village of Fredericktown, Ohio, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or a member of his or her family who is over eighteen years of age or unless he or she is proceeding to his or her place of residence by the most direct route from a bona fide and officially sanctioned meeting of a school, church, or public service group; the maximum amount of time permitted under this exception is one hour from the time the event ended until the curfew for individuals attending that function will be put into effect.
(b) No parent or legal guardian of any minor shall allow such child or ward to be present in or on any public street, park, square, or other public place within the Village of Fredericktown, Ohio, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. unless accompanied by such parent, legal guardian or a member of his or her family over the age of eighteen years, or unless he or she is proceeding to his or her place of residence by the most direct route within one hour from the termination of a bona fide and officially sanctioned meeting of a school, church, or public service group. (c) Whoever violates subsection (a) hereof shall be deemed to be an unruly child and punished accordingly. (Ord. 1991-19. Passed 6-24-91.)
(d) Whoever violates subsection (b) hereof is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. (Ord. 1991-13. Passed 5-28-91.)
