§ 1-16-216. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   In designing a subdivision, the subdivider shall comply with the legislative intent, principles and requirements of this chapter and all applicable standards established in pursuance of this chapter.
   (B)   The Division and the Planning Commission in considering an application for the subdivision of land shall be governed by the consideration and standards contained herein.
   (C)   The subdivision layout shall be in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan as adopted or amended by the county and shall be of such a character that it protects the health, safety and general welfare of the county and its residents.
